Hello everyone! This is my first post so be easy on me smile.gif

Here is my question: 2 months ago, we added a new section with multiple pages to our website. Generally we are frequently crawled by Google, Yahoo and others so I wasn't surprised to see these new pages listed within a week in Google. I checked Yahoo after a couple of weeks and the listing for the main page of this new section was not listed so I decided to do the free submission. Still nothing. I did however find one of the pages that is linked from the main page in the listings. This new section is linked directly from our Site Map so the crawler would not have to crawl very deep to get this new section and other sections created the same way are showing up just fine. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what to try next? I have submitted the main page URL to the Open Directory but did not pay for the Yahoo Directory Submission. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks,

A (temporally) link to the new section from the main page may help.

Yahoo crawls my site's main page once a month (free submission), and rarely goes
deeper.

Are you sure you have tried to search in a variety of ways to see if Yahoo has the page listed? Sometimes it is difficult to get Yahoo to show you all the pages they have listed for a site, especially if you have a generic site name or domain name. Try searching your company name, domain name with and without the .com (of whatever top level domain you have) or even the exact URL you are looking for.

If you added this section two months ago and it is hyperlinked from another page that is already in Yahoo, it should be in their index by now.

Thank you for your replies. I have done every search I can think of and I am relatively certain that my page is not listed. I am not concerned at this point with the rank of the page, I am just looking to get it listed and frankly the page ranks #1 in google so I would guess that it would rank decent in Yahoo as well (although I know there are no guarantees !) I'll keep digging ! Thanks!

Hey mybannick bye1.gif

Head over to Yahoo! and do a search like site:yourdomain.com and that will retrieve all of the pages that they have indexed. That'll tell you if they know about the page in question or not.

We have a new section that has been on our website for months, found by Google, and nothing from Yahoo; I searched for the exact page, and a site:(our site) search returns older pages. Yahoo can't seem to find our newer pages that are at even a second level (ex - www.site.com/level1/level2/) !!! yet managed to find a first level page but still doesn't update very often...
