Google Fluctuation In Indexed Pages
Posted 25 October 2004 - 12:37 PM
Im not sure if im posting in the right section of this forum. If im wrong, I apologize.
Ok, hereīs my doubt.
As many of you may know (if you donīt please, visit this thread), Iīve been doing some changes to my site (itīs not the one in my signature)
Some of them were
Start using local domains for each country
Start using metatags, and recheck the ones Iīve been using for some time.
Update the <title> configuration so that now, they have more relevant keywords, etc.
By using the local domains, google started to index my site really fast. I did some graphics were I could see the amount growing, and let me tell you, it was a very nice graphic
Some weeks ago, I was worried about that number. I was growing so fast everyday, that for some reason, one day, it stopped.
I know I have a lot more of pages to be indexed, at the same deep level than others that have already been indexed.
Iīve researched a little, and found out that It was not a problem I had. My competition also had the same problem.
For the last 2 weeks, I see a lot of fluctuation in the amount of indexed pages, for all of my countries. The same thing happens to my competition.
So Im still asking:
Does anyone knows of any issue with google?
Im really worried about this.
Also, im planning to do a 301 permanent redirect from my subdomains to my new local domains to see if I can boost a little the things up.
