The Alexa Toolbar

I wanted to hear your opinion on the Alexa Toolbar…More precisely, how to interpret the numbers and figures that are shown on it….
For example my Alexa shows the number 3,746 near the info tab for the HighRankings Forum. What does that number mean? Does it mean that the site is the 3,746th most visited site (by people who have the Alexa toolbar) or maybe something else?
Can you find out an exact number of visits to a certain site rather than the more relative rank I have just talked about?
Are there other features that you like on the toolbar?
Thank you!

Close. it means this palce is the site 3,746th most visited by those with the Alexa toolbar installed. How accurate it is is another question!!!

The number on the toolbar also only measures visits to a site by people who have the Alexa toolbar installed - there is a general impression this is mostly other webmasters.
On a whole not very beneficial at the moment (to me anyway) but maybe with future updates that may change.
Hope that helps...

It is easy to skew for good Alexa results. But while someone could fake a good Alexa, they cannot fake a bad one. Therefore, use it to exclude, not include. If someone tells you they have a half a million uniques each month and yet their Alexa is 2.5 million, run!
Also keep in mind that anyone can fake just about any other result as well if they know how to do it. Faking a screenshot of stat tables isn't too hard and a lot of other tools have their faults. Your best results will be determined by using many tools and relying on experience and common sense.
