Hello everyone, well I'll just try and start right off the bat with it. My website is [removed]<-(Check My Sig) and I'm trying to surpass [removed]<-(Add dot com to my first keyword in my sig...hehe)[Jill Please let me know if you don't want the hinting info in there eather...]. I have optimised out the rearEND yuk.gif !!! It doesn't matter how many bloody "anchor text links" or keywords I put in or saturate or don't, I can not seem to freakin pass them in Google? Hell I can't even seem to get on frontpage of the results. I'm 45 ranking last I check for "bushisms", yet "newest bushisms" I've finally placed 1st in. cheers.gif
So could someone help me out, I don't know how their doing it, and/or what they are doing. Is it they just have more relivant links or possibly just more links in general? Any cheat methods anyone could help me with. I own like 12 websites now with around 6 or so with content and all of them I believe have "anchor tag links" pointing to my site.

Hi warzman123-

There are plenty of SEO forums out there who will give you some "cheat" methods. This is a search engine optimization forum. We discuss long term methods of achieving rankings.

Your site is probably sandboxed like most new sites these days- all the cheats in the world can't fix it. The sandbox is a term for a "waiting period" before links to new sites count- seems to be running 3-6 months.

Welcome WarzMan123! bye1.gif

Like Scottie said, you picked the wrong forum for any "cheating advice". If you must be out in front, open up your wallet and try some PPC. wink.gif

To rank well in that sort of space you need a lure. Try a flash game, try to build things people want to look at, and bloggers want to link to.

But really, why does outranking one site matter? Why not simply try to increase your own traffic? People worry far too much about competition,a dn far too litte about making their own site better / building their own traffic levels. As a quick, easy example, cell phone store soho NY is a pretty uncompetetive SERP, but is likely to be a great one to get traffic for if you had a cell phone stiore in Soho.

Similarly, Overture reports 156 searches for anti president bush. I am sure that isn't hard to rank on page one for.

In short, before trying to compete, go around.

I talked about the cheating in my T.E. post if any of you read it... Sry for the mis-conception, I'm not looking for methods to cheat rly I was kindof just kidding. I've been SEOing for about two years now and I know that any cheating just is kinda like a Heroin or Cocain rush... lol.gif You spike up for a very short period of time and then WHAM the rest of your life usually sucks... wacko.gif (A.K.A. PR0ed or just Blacklisted I.P). Trust me I've done many hours of research on my keywords and even more days and hours of research on the sites that are in top listings for my current keywords. Also sry don't remember who it was, but I like the flash game idea and I've currently implimented something along those lines just yesterday. cheers.gif Two very hilarious bushism videos I found while searching. And like you said its worked like a charm I've gotten 35 hits last I checked and I finished it last night. Also already got one link coming from some random board that some teens were talking about it. Hopefully I'll see several more this weekend.

Hi WarzMan123.

Do you have a blog component as part of your website?

If not, it would be tremendously beneficial for you, especially with a politically oriented website. A huge percentage of the most visited blogs on the internet have a political theme, from all points on the political spectrum.

I know political bloggers ranging from the far left to the far right, and they are all looking for interesting sites and blogs to link. If you were to offer some populat pics or games, bloggers would pick it up and spread it around in some viral marketing, on your behalf. Everyone who adds the meme to their blog is providing you with another incoming link.

Remember, as well, that bloggers are free and generous linkers, and your blog and site links will be certainly added to many blogs. Search engines love fresh, theme related content, and a blog provides a batch of freshly baked content on a daily basis. The search engines love that!

Consider a blog. It's a lot of work maintaining it, and it is not a trick or a cheat, but it will do wonders for you in the search engines, and for your readers.

Another quick positive point about creating a blog - the media scans them regularly for hot news and tidbits. I've read that media types would rather go to a blog than plow through press releases since blog news is usually up-to-date/hot off the press.

And once it's up it can be piped through an RSS and sent all over for instant news on your topic/service/product.

Wow Awesome idea guys thanks thumbup1.gif ! I'll start one up cheers.gif , I host my own site and I've got several different blog options. Any one know if there are any special pros and cons to certain blog programs wink.gif ? Like do engines prefer "Joe Blow" over "Joe Schmo", etc... I'm doing rather well with my current SEOing I've gotten 70 search from google as of today last I check. Tons of my keywords are starting to rise. So the search part I'm steadily ok on, although geisha those links are few and far between hmm.gif .

Thanks a lot for the blog tip though. Cause I've gotten a message board set up PhPNuked site with phpBB. Yet can't seem to get any posters :learn: :-P

Lil tid-bit on the games and video. I've gotten 3 new really hilarious things add, I've started putting the video tid-bits on a seperate subdomain though. Not really experienced at all with Php so sticken with goodO'l Html and Adobe GoLive with a sweet seasoning of Frontpage tongue.gif
