I have just been reading through my Search Engine Guide: Daily Search Engine News - 24 September 2003 newsletter email.
Within the email is a link to the The Search Engine Yearbook™ (SEY) 2003
(http://www.pandecta.com/sey.html)
I decide to read through the content and came across the following:
SECTION 3 – SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION (SEO)
3.4 SEO “Maybes” (page 206)
3.4.1 Getting Doorway Pages Right (page 206)
In the top right corner of the page are the testimonials. The first testimonial is by Jill Whalen, now I am not sure if this is a genuine testimonial, or if I have mis-read the text (its been a very looooooong week!) but the testimonial contains the following........
I haven't had a chance to read the whole thing (it's huge!), but I did read the entire section on search engine optimization and found nothing to disagree with. You know me -- if there *were* something I would have found it!
Correct me if I am wrong (and I probably am) but how can doorway pages be right or maybe right?
I am just curious and would like to know. I think I will purchase the book and find out, but if anyone could shed any light on this rather trivial matter, then please do so.
BTW Jill, recently purchased your report The Nitty-gritty of Writing for the Search Engines. A very good read, learnt some good stuff! Cheers!
Kind Regards,
Paul
