"The review said that the sites are difficult to find and navigate, even using search engines, and none of the sites' pages appear to be optimized for search-engine rankings.

The Conservatives' site is not fully indexed, and contains some aspects in its design that are unfriendly to search engines.

"The parties presumably do not see search engines as being a source of traffic and, with the exception of the critical issue of finding a site, they may be right," said Robin Macrae of SearchCounsel.com, a search-engine optimization consultant. "However, if they're wrong, they've missed a significant competitive advantage.""

LOL- convince a politician to spend money on SEO?

I've worked on a few policitican's sites... ugh. Not worth it. Every decision is made by committee and everyone thinks they are right. Never again!
