Over the past few days I have noticed that when I carry out a search on www.google.com or www.google.co.uk the results page gets served from www-sj.google.com.

This in itself isn't thet remarkable however the fact that it physically redirects to a different domain name for results is new for Google. In addition if you try and click on the back button from the results page to get back to the main search domain you can't - it keeps bouncing you back to your results page on the www-sj. prefix.

Additionally, it acts like this for queries which originate from my ISPs IP range but not on queries from the IP range my hosting company uses.

I am of course aware that www-sj is one of a number of Google data centers - it is not being able to get back to the main page that is the issue. It would also seem that if I try and do a UK specific search I get served the global results.
