MarketingSherpa has recently come out with an amazing handbook for B2B marketers. While they call it a "handbook" that's really not a good description of it, as it's basically too huge to hold in your hands for very long! Because High Rankings is a B2B company who's always looking for new and interesting marketing ideas, I took it upon myself to read the entire 500+ pages! So far I'm up to page 325 and have flagged at least 30 pages that contain ideas that I want to revisit with our marketing director.
I don't have a degree in marketing, but after reading this book, I feel I learned as much or more than what they teach at some universities. Since it was just published, this B-to-B marketing book is completely up to date with the latest online marketing techniques that have been proven to actually generate leads. I am not sure if there are many university courses that could say the same.
If your B2B company is trying to grasp online marketing, or you simply want to brush up on your skills and get invigorated with some new ideas for generating leads, you need to buy this book and keep it on hand. I can see it as a must-read for any new marketing hires in your company as well.
As you can imagine, a lead gen guide such as this is not going to be cheap. In fact, it's fairly expensive at $697. But your company should easily make that back (and way more) just by implementing even one of the techniques discussed in the book.
